2 Trucks Burn in Pine Harbor Subdivision, Possible Foul Play, ONALASKA, May 9, 2008 - At approximately 11:20 pm on May 9, 2008, neighbor Ray Viellieux and his son were awakened by what they described as the sound of an explosion. Viellieux looked out his window to see his neighbor's 2006 Chevy Z71 Off Road Silverado engulfed in flames, shortly after that, a 1999 Chevy S-10 (directly in front of the Silverado) caught fire and both trucks were totaled at 470 Tallow in the Pine Harbor subdivision of Onalaska. Misty Schuetze, the owner of the vehicles says the same thing; she heard an explosion, looked out the window of her mobile home only to see her truck burning. "My ex did this"..."Oh yeah, it was him. Yes, my ex did this". Schuetze says that she's convinced that her ex-boyfriend is responsible for this and that this is his mode of operation. The Onalaska Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and doused the burning vehicles. The intensity of the flames melted the vinyl skirting on her mobile home and nearly caught it on fire. After the fire department left, investigators moved in and began an investigation into the cause of the dual blaze. Onalaska policeman Anthony Yaw and Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Keith Franklin helped secure the scene as Polk County Fire Marshall Jay Barbee investigated. Soon, Polk County Sheriff's Department investigator Christi Allen arrived. Both Allen and Barbee said the cause of the blaze is under investigation although Schuetze is convinced this is an intentional act of arson.
