Fire Appears to Have Totaled Entire Section of Apartments, LIVINGSTON, May 3, 2024 - Shortly after 6 am on May 3, 2024, the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the Pine Hill Apartments (Next to Livingston Brookshire Bros.) in response to a fire that appears to have started in the attic of unit 216. Additionally, the Livingston Police Department, the Polk County Sheriff's Office, Livingston Fire Marshal, and EMS personnel arrived on the scene. There are no reported injuries, but the fire spread rapidly and appears to have totaled the entire section of apartments (fire damage, smoke damage, and water damage). Law enforcement had both ends of Church Street blocked in order of emergency vehicles to move without obstruction.
