Fire Totals Mobile Home, PUTNAM'S LANDING, April 15, 2016 - At approximately 9 pm on April 14, 2016, a mobile home fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Trucks and men from the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 223 Tory Lane to find a mobile home engulfed in flames. Additionally, Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputy Michaela Tinsley and Sergeant David Ramsey with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, and a crew from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative. Firemen were able to douse the fire, but the mobile home was totaled. The home was owned by Doyle and Kendra Middleton. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen (possibly the stove). The Middleton's lost a dog and a bird in the fire. Nobody else was hurt. It is not known to PolkCountyToday.com whether or not the Middleton's had homeowner's insurance. The fire remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
