Livingston Volunteer Fire Department responded quickly to a residence off of Jewel Coleman Road.
Firemen Save Home from Certain Destruction, LIVINGSTON, April 3, 2013 - At around 11:40 pm on April 3, 2013, a fire was reported from a residence off of Jewell Coleman Road (a short distance west of Livingston city limits). Firemen from Livingston Volunteer Fire Department arrived to find a roof/ceiling fire in the house. They were there fast enough to save the house from burning down. The fire is believed to have been caused by a wood burning stove. Deputies Jacob Chapman and Glen Edwards began an investigation into the cause of the fire. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.
Volunteer Firemen pull siding off the house to access the fire. Failure to fully extinguish the fire could result in a relapse that would further damage (or destroy) the home.
This woodburning stove is believed to be the cause of the fire.
Stove pipes that run through the wall of the home become very hot and if not properly installed and maintained can cause a fire.
Deputies Jacob Chapman (left) and Glenn Edwards investigated the fire.
