Fire at Rail Car Services Plant, GOODRICH, March 31, 2023 - Shortly after 10 pm on March 31, 2023, Corporal Adrian Ontiveros with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to AITX Rail Car Services plant in Goodrich regarding a possible fire. Ontiveros arrived on the scene and immediately notified dispatch to summon fire departments. Fire departments from Goodrich, Livingston, Scenic Loop, Alabama Coushatta and others arrived to find the south end of the huge industrial building on fire. The fire was doused, and there were no reported injuries. It is not yet known what caused the fire, but the cause is under investigation. That's all the information we have at this time.
