Apartment Fire Quickly Doused, LIVINGSTON, March 30, 2011 - At approximately 2:20 pm on March 29, 2011, an apartment fire was reported from the Brock Street Apartments in Livingston.  Firemen with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department arrived within three with four fire engines.  Additionally, Officers form the Livingston Police Department were dispatched.  When firemen arrived unit 13 (a downstairs apartment) was on fire and flames were visible.  According to witnesses at the scene, the fire appeared to have started in the front bedroom.  Firemen quickly doused the flames and pulled a large mattress and box springs from heavily damaged unit.  The bed appeared to be the source of the fire.  The apartments are reportedly owned by local optometrist Dr. William Watson and are insured.  The fire was completely extinguished in about 20 minutes.
