This home at the corner of North Lake Drive and Ash Road, in Lakeside Village was totaled by fire.
Early Morning Fire Totals Home, LAKESIDE VILLAGE, March 14, 2017 - Shortly before 6 am on March 14, 2017, a house fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Men and fire trucks from Livingston Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a home that sits at the corner of North Lake Drive and Ash Street in Lakeside Village. Flames shot through the roof in the proximity of the kitchen area of the home (rented by Tammy McQueen and owned by William Nix of Livingston). Additionally, Deputy Josh Sanders with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched and a crew from Sam Houston Electric Cooperative. Firemen were able to extinguish the flames but due to water, smoke and fire damage, the home appeared totaled. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident. The home is reportedly insured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
