Deputy Troy Binford (left) conducted a preliminary investigation.
Fire Destroys 2 Story Home, INDIAN HILLS, March 4, 2012 - At around 12 noon on March 4, 2012, a fire was reported from the subdivision of Indian Hills (located off FM-2457 on Lake Livingston).  Firemen from the Scenic Loop VFD arrived to find the 2 story home at 585 Indian Hills Blvd. engulfed in flames.  Deputy Troy Binford with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to investigate.  The enormity of the fire forced Scenic Loop to summon for help from the Livingston VFD.  Additional trucks and men were dispatched from Livingston.  The intense heat from the fire burned the siding off of a nearby home.  The entire second floor was burned away during the fire. The fire was doused in a little over 30 minutes.  The home was a rent house being rented by a family with small children.  Everyone got out of the home safely.  The owner of the home is Linda Lezlie of Livingston.  The fire is believed to be electrical in nature.  Deputy Binford will turn the case over to Polk County Fire Marshal, Jay Barbee.
