18 Wheeler Fire, SEVEN OAKS, February 28, 2012 - Shortly before 2 am on February 28, 2012 an 18 wheeler that was driven by Gilles Veaudry of Ontario, Canada was north-bound on US-59. Veaudry admitted that he was having brake problems and that one of his brakes was stuck, but he continued driving. Veaudry finally pulled over into the rest area on the north-bound side in Seven Oaks where his 18 wheeler caught fire, allegedly due to the overheated brake. Corporal Lee Rogers and Deputy Glen Bethune were dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department. Fireman Allen Cook arrived put the fire out with foam pumped from a fire engine. No citations were issued.
