New Willard, February 9, 2015: A mobile home burns at 515 North Glen Road.
Mobile Home Totaled by Fire, NEW WILLARD, February 9, 2015 - Shortly after 9 am on February 9, 2015, a mobile home fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The Livingston Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to 515 North Glen Road to find a mobile home burning. Additionally, Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched and Sergeant Lee Rogers with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The owner of the home, Basi Hernandez, cut his hand during the incident. No other injuries occurred. Firemen were able to extinguish the blaze, but the mobile home was totaled. Hernandez reportedly doesn't have home owner's insurance of the home. Hernandez will receive assistance from the Red Cross. Sergeant Lee Rogers initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire. Initially, the fire is believed to have been electrical in nature.
Fire managed to get under the floor of the mobile home.
