The front half of this mobile home located off FM-2457 burned. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen.

Fire Totals Mobile Home, LIVINGSTON, February 7, 2012 - At approximately 1:20 pm on February 7, 2012, a structure fire was reported off FM-2457.  The Scenic Loop and Livingston Volunteer Fire Departments responded within minutes and found the front half of a single wide mobile home located at 1296 FM-2457 in flames.  Scenic Loop Chief Donald Marlow forced open the front door as firemen moved in and began extinguishing the fire.  The mobile home is reportedly owned by Sandra Henderson of Livingston and was being rented to a family.  Nobody was home when the fire started.  According to Chief Marlow, the fire appears to have originated in the kitchen area where the stove is located.  The fire was completely extinguished by 1:50 pm.  The mobile home was not insured.  Although one half of the mobile home burned, the smoke damage and the age of the mobile home means the mobile home, in all likelihood is totaled.  Deputy Troy Binford with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched and conducted a preliminary investigation.  The case has been turned over to Polk County Fire Marshall, Jay Barbee for a full investigation.
