House Fire on Myrow Road, LIVINGSTON, February 5, 2009 - Shortly after 12 noon on February 5, 2009 a house fire was reported at 612 Myrow Road. Livingston and South Polk County Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene in addition to Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Nettles and Sergeant Jason Paske. Homeowner Patrick Frolick of Livingston could only stand by and watch as his home burned and firemen worked feverishly to put out the blaze that engulfed at least half of his house. Livingston Fire Chief Corky Cochran and his crew of men went into the burning house and was eventually able to douse the fire, but not before at least half of the house was totaled. 4 Fire engines responded and EMS personnel from Americare Ambulance Service who stood by if needed. Fortunately nobody was physically hurt in the fire. According to Frolick, he left his home briefly and when he returned minutes later, the house was on fire. The fire was put out by 1 pm. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
