Overheated Transmission Torches 18 Wheeler, MOSCOW, January 29, 2016 - At approximately 10:45 on January 29, 2016, an 18 wheeler driven by Jerry Hoot, 32, of Lufkin, was west-bound on FM-62 in a 2001 Freightliner (logging truck).  Hoot's transmission allegedly got overheated and caught fire.  Hoot pulled his rig to the shoulder and exited.  Corrigan Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with Trooper Ashlee McBride with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Nobody was injured in the incident.  Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan was summoned to clean up the mess.
