Man Loses Everything in Mobile Home Fire, SCENIC LOOP, January 28, 2017 - A late afternoon fire destroyed a mobile home and attached garage in the subdivision of Forester's Retreat near Scenic Loop. Firemen from the Scenic Loop and Livingston Volunteer Fire Departments arrived to douse the fire, but the mobile home and garage were totaled. Additionally, deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to investigate. The owner of the home, Donald Butler reportedly did not have insurance and stated that the mobile home and the clothes on his back was all he had in the world. The fire is believed to have been electrical in nature. Nobody was injured in the incident.
