Deputy Trent Jones, with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire.

Another Double Wide Mobile Home Totaled by Fire, LIVINGSTON, January 22, 2025 - At approximately 1:10 pm on January 22, 2025, a fire was reported to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Livingston and Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 190 Powell Road (near Horace Bonds off FM-350 North). The home was a double wide mobile home owned by Jared McGaha, 40, of Livingston (along with his wife and a child). McGaha was home alone when he discovered the fire in another part of the house. The mobile home was totaled and nearly the entire roof was collapsed. McGaha does have home owner's insurance on the mobile home. Deputy Trent Jones with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire. There were no reported injuries in this incident.
