A warm smile and friendly welcome. Gail and Glen Evans |

Tis Better to Give, SODA, December 13, 2008 - With literally thousands of lights and a log home that's toasty warm inside, Glen and Gail Evans enjoy giving to their community and generally anyone who stops by, a friendly welcome, a nice visit and warm food as they hosted their 15th annual open house on December 12. "We like to keep Christ in Christmas" Gail says. With over 60 nativity scenes on display both inside the home and in the yard, The Evans' drive home that point. As one walks up to the house, it's easy to stay outside and paruse the yard just looking at the Christmas light diplays that adorn both the front, back, and everywhere else on their property. "It all started with our son, he likes Christmas lights, so years ago we started doing this, and it's grown every year since then", indeed, "Each Pointsetta has approximately 1,100 lights", says Glen. "Glen built a storage shed for our Christmas decorations, but it's become too small to accomodate so we're going to have to add on to it". After walking around looking at light displays, just open the door and walk in to find a house that is warm in both temperature and spirit. Sit down on the sofa, or enjoy food. Talk with friendly people, eat until your full. When I finally left, I had a warm spirit and just felt really good. My wife and children agreed. "They will know we are Christians by our love" -- John 13:35.
