Intoxicated Driver Rolls Vehicle, LIVINGSTON, December 6, 2008 - At approximately 7:10 pm on December 6, 2008, a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Ronald Edward Bryant, 55, of Livingston, was coming around a curve by Bold Springs Road at the 59 Loop (near the Livingston Junior High School), when he apparently came into the curve too fast and his vehicle rolled. Bryant's vehicle came to rest on the right side of the road upside down. There were 3 passengers with Bryant. One passenger was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital by Americare Ambulance Service with upspecified injuries. Livingston Police Officers Ashley Brame, Jason Thomas, and Sergeant Scott Paske and Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Buie were dispatched to the scene. Bryant appeared to be intoxicated and a field sobriety test was administered by Officer Brame. Bryant could not pass the test and he was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. One lane of traffic was blocked as the accident was being cleared and investigated. Bryant did have insurance. A rollback wrecker from Ken's towing recovered Bryant's vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison's Body Shop in Livingston. The scene was cleared and traffic fully flowing by 7:46 pm.
