Driver Wrecks Truck at Entrance of Memorial Point Subdivision, DWI Suspected, LIVINGSTON, October 19, 2008 - At approximately 8:30 pm on October 19, 2008 a dark blue late model Dodge Dakota driven by Cheryl Ann Gardner, 46, of Conroe was east-bound on 3277 and entered a curve going too fast and left the road to the right and came to a rest in the soft grass at the entrance of the Memorial Point Subdivision across the street from Scenic Loop Grocery. DPS Trooper Brent Murray was dispatched to the scene of the accident. The truck was stuck and immobile. Gardner appeared physically okay by was still taken to Livingston Memorial Hospital to be checked. She was issued a citation for unsafe speed, and, pending toxicology reports, could be charged with driving while intoxicated. Gardner admitted to drinking at least seven cans of beer prior to the accident. Gardner did have insurance. A rollback wrecker from LakeView Towing recovered the truck and the vehicle will be stored a LakeView Body Shop in Livingston.
