Trooper Ramey Bass conducts a field sobriety test on Edgar Angel of Goodrich after Angle crashed his vehicle off of FM-1988 West.
Goodrich Man Crashes Car, Arrested for DWI, GOODRICH, August 14, 2012 - At approximately 9 pm on August 13, 2012, a silver 2009 Hyundai Accent driven by Edgar Fernando Angel, 30, of Goodrich, was west-bound on FM-1988 West near Guadalupe Road when his vehicle left the pavement to the right, slide through grass, struck a culvert and landed in a driveway.  A person who said they heard the crash called the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Deputy Byron Dunaway and Trooper Ramey Bass were dispatched to the scene.  When Trooper Bass spoke to Angel, he suspected intoxication.  According to Bass, Angel admitted to have been drinking earlier.  Bass conducted a field sobriety test and placed Angel under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing was summoned and recovered Angel's vehicle.

Special thank you:  Ken from Ken's Towing

Angel's 2009 Hyunday Accent struck a culvert (seen in picture behind the car) and landed in a driveway.
PolkCountyToday.com reporters receive lots of verbal abuse. Angel cussed out our cameraman as he was being escorted to a patrol unit to be driven to jail.
Houdini watches as Ken recovers Angel's vehicle.
