Sergeant Nita Bowen deals with 23 year old Keaton Wayne Peters of Livingston.
Driver Passed Out at the Wheel, Arrested for DWI, LIVINGSTON, June 7, 2013 - At around 6:20 am on June 7, 2013, a passing school bus on Old Woodville road reported a possible accident.  The school bus driver called in to the Polk County Sheriff's Office and reported that it appeared the driver of pickup was still inside.  Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Sergeant Nita Bowen with the Texas Highway Patrol.  Sergeant Bowen arrived to find a silver 2006 Dodge Truck with the driver, by all appearances, passed out at the wheel.  The driver, Keaton Wayne Peters, 23, of Livingston was awakened.  Peters admitted to have been drinking when he was east-bound on Old Woodville road and left the road to the right.  Sergeant Bowen checked Peters for Intoxication and placed him under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.  A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing was summoned and recovered Peters' vehicle and it will be stored at Pollock's Body Shop in Livingston.
