Nataniel Barrow of Newton was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Driving While High on Pot, LIVINGSTON, March 22, 2009 - Shortly after 1 am on March 22, 2009, Sergeant William Jerry with the Polk County Sheriff's Office noticed a black 1999 Nissan Maxima sitting in the middle of the street on Old Woodville Road at US-190 in Livingston. Jerry pulled the vehicle over in the Regional Health Center parking lot. A heavy smell of marijuana was coming from the vehicle. When Jerry radioed to dispatch other law enforcement personnel showed up at the scene to assist, including Sheriff Ken Hammack, Deputy Lee Rogers, and Deputy Scott Wright. The vehicle was occupied by Dustin Cox, 17, of Livingston, Nathaniel Barrow, 19, of Newton and a juvenile female. Barrow and Cox were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana. A wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service towed their vehicle and it will be stored at Harwood Wrecker Service in Livingston. The scene was cleared before 2 am.
