Muecke (a registered sex offender) was busted for drugs.
Registered Sex Offender Busted for Drugs, LIVINGSTON, May 20, 2008 - On May 20, 2008, while traveling east-bound on 190 West, Lieutenant Andy Lowrie noticed a tan Saturn traveling towards Onalaska, driving down the middle of the road (occupying 2 lanes). Lowrie began pursuit of the vehicle and the vehicle pulled over. The car was being driven by Stephen Brian Muecke, 43, of Livingston. When Lowrie asked Muecke what the problem was, Muecke stated that his vehicle "...pulls to the left". When Muecke was reaching for his driver's license, a pack of cigarette rolling papers fell out. This aroused Lowrie's suspicion so he asked Muecke to step to the rear of the vehicle. Lowrie asked to search the vehicle and Muecke gave consent. As Lowrie was searching the vehicle, he noticed that Muecke was acting nervous and had began pacing which further aroused Lowrie's suspicion. Upon searching the vehicle, Lowrie found scales (commonly used for measuring the weight of drugs for dope deals). Lowrie then found a hard-shell eye glasses holder that contained 2 syringes. In addition, Lowrie found a pipe, a spoon with white substance on it, hydrocodone pills, and meth amphetamine. Muecke was arrested and booked into Polk County Jail where it was discovered that Muecke is also a registered sex offender.
