Name of Drowning Victim Released, LIVINGSTON, September 2, 2015 - The Polk County Sheriff's Office released the name of the man who drowned on Saturday night (08/29/15).  Larry Taylor, 34, of Conroe drowned in Lake Livingston near the Trinity County Line.  Taylor and a female were swimming when the drowning occurred.  A search was initiated that evening but had to be called off due to limited visibility of night.  The next morning Taylor was found and pulled from the lake.

Drowning in Lake Livingston, POLK COUNTY, August 31, 2015 - A man drowned in Polk County (near the Trinity County line) on Saturday night (8/29/15).  At this time, the only information that we have is that a man and a woman were swimming in Lake Livingston at around 9 pm and their boat drifted some distance.

A search was initiated , but the male swimmer was not found.  Due to limited visibility at night, after some time, the search was halted.  The search resumed at first daylight on Sunday and the male found deceased from an apparent drowning. Justice of the Peace David Johnson performed an inquest.

At time of press, the condition of the female swimmer is not known to PolkCountyToday.com. No identities have been released.
