Man Presumed Drowned in Trinity River, SWARTWOUT, June 2, 2017 - At approximately 3 pm Deputies from San Jacinto County, Polk County, local game wardens, and rescue teams were sent to FM-3278 just over the Polk County line in San Jacinto County to initiate a search for a missing man. According to the witnesses, the man (a Hispanic male) was standing in the water of the Trinity River fishing. The man went under and didn't return. At time of press (6 pm), the search continues. The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time.
