Two Louisianans Arrested on Drug Charges, SEVEN OAKS, October 22, 2012 - At approximately 10:25 am on October 22, 2012, Trooper Allen Stanton with the Texas Highway Patrol spotted a late model silver Dodge Charger driving erratically on US-59 North. Trooper Stanton pulled the vehicle over in the Seven Oaks area. Stanton was soon backed up by Sergeant Rob Thomas with the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Stanton observed nervous behaviour from the driver, Tiffany Leigh Robert, 39, of Columbia, Louisiana and her passenger Brittany Lea May, 17, also of Columbia, LA. Stanton gained consent to do a vehicle search and found three syringes each with a substance inside. According to Stanton, when he asked Robert about the substance, she conceded that it was methamphetamine. Additionally, Stanton found several pipes with marijuana residue and a .30 caliber pistol made in spain. Tiffany Robert and Brittany Mae were both placed under arrest for unlawful carrying of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance (both felonies), and possession of marijuana. The vehicle was recovered by a wrecker service out of Corrigan.
After finding drugs and a firearm in the car, Trooper Allen Stanton placed both vehicle occupants under arrest.
Stanton was soon backed up by Sergeant Rob Thomas with the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
Deputy Ashley Early with the Sheriff's Office was summoned to frisk the two females.
