HYDROPONIC MARIJUANA OPERATION BUSTED

Alert Deputy Happens Upon the Large Operation on a Routine Call

Jeremy Michael Faggard, 33, of Onalaska
Jamie Renee Zibilske, 25, of Tomball
Detectives Uncover Large Hydroponic Marijuana Operation and Other Drugs From Residence, ONALASKA, October 5, 2010 - On September 26, 2010 Deputy Craig Taylor with the Polk County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to Onalaska in reference to criminal mischief.  While on the scene on Canyon Drive in the subdivision of Canyon Park, by chance, Deputy Taylor while speaking resident Jeremy Faggard, 33, of Onalaska, smelled the distinct odor of marijuana.  Taylor knows the smell of marijuana from the training he's received in law enforcement.  As Taylor moved closer to Faggard's home, the odor became stronger.  Taylor then asked Faggard for consent to search the residence, but Faggard refused.  Taylor immediately contacted Narcotics Detective Lieutenant Andy Lowrie.  Lowrie came to the residence to assess the scene.  Lowrie concurred with Taylor that there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the residence.

Search Warrant Executed...
A search warrant to search the premises was prepared and signed by Judge David Johnson.  A search of the residence and garage yielded a large hydroponic marijuana lab.  The lab was active and in operation.  Lowrie was assisted by Sergeant Howard Smith and Deputy Randy Turner (both with the Polk County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division).  A total of 100 marijuana plants were found that ranged in height from 6 inches to 5 feet.  Additionally, detectives found methamphetamine and steroids.

2 Arrested...
Jeremy Michael Faggard was placed under arrest along with Jamie Renee Zibilske, 25, of Tomball.  Both were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.  Faggard and Zibilske were booked into Polk County Jail.  Both parties are currently free on bond.
According to detectives, the value of the marijuana was up to $800 per pound.

The plants were well cultivated, and had huge buds flourishing.
