Special Delivery, Mailbox of Marijuana, CORRIGAN, September 2, 2014 - On the evening of September 1, 2014, Officer Dakoda Hernandez with the Corrigan Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a gold colored Acura sedan for speeding. When Officer Hernandez spoke with the driver, William Donald Ward, 23, of Shreveport, Louisiana, he could smell the scent of marijuana. Further, Hernandez noticed that Ward was hesitant when he'd speak and was acting nervous. Hernandez questioned Ward about the the smell and his nervousness. Ward admitted to Hernandez that he had marijuana in his car. Hernandez conducted a search of the vehicle and found a mailbox in the trunk with over a pound of marijuana. Ward was placed under arrest for felony possession of marijuana.
