Deputies pulled over this 1987 Suburban after the driver ran a stop sign.

Driver Runs Stop Sign, Busted for Possession (and more), LIVINGSTON, August 26, 2010 - At approximately 1:15 pm on August 26, 2010, Deputies Mike Nettles and Randy Turner were patrolling FM-1988 near Lake Livingston Dam.  They spotted a blue 1987 Chevy Suburban driven by Jennifer Ann Surles, 28, of Goodrich.  According to the Deputies, Surles ran a stop sign.  Nettles and Turner pulled Surles over on 1988 West at Park Road 5 near the Trinity River Authority.  As it turns out, Surles was driving with an invalid license, expired inspection sticker, and no insurance.  Surles was placed under arrest and loaded into a patrol unit.  Upon inventorying the vehicle, Narcotics Detective Turner found a small envelope with marijuana in the front of the truck, and prescription medication  and other drugs in the back of the truck.

Surles was cited for:  Running a stop sign, expired inspection sticker, driving with an invalid license, and no insurance.

Surles has been charged with:  Possession of marijuana, ecstasy, soma, and hydrocodone.

A rollback wrecker from Ken's Towing recovered Surles' vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.  The scene was cleared by 2 pm.
