45 year old William Cole Cassidy of Perryville, Missouri, is facing the charge of felony delivery of marijuana.
State Troopers Seize 90 Lbs. of Marijuana, CORRIGAN, May 10, 2012 - Shortly after 7 am on May 10, 2012, Trooper Stephen Brockman with the Texas Highway Patrol stopped a silver minivan a short distance north of the Corrigan City Limits. Brockman stopped the car for speeding. When Brockman spoke to the driver, William Cole Cassidy, 45, of Perryville, Missouri, Brockman noticed that Cassidy was acting extremely nervous. Soon Brockman was joined by fellow Trooper Brian Ihnen and his canine "Femke". Due to Cassidy's extreme nervousness, Brockman had Femke and Trooper Ihnen do a walk around of Cassidy's vehicle. Trooper Femke alerted that there was contraband in Cassidy's vehicle. Femke's actions established probable cause which gave the Troopers the legal right to search Cassidy's vehicle. Femke's alert was accurate as the Troopers found 90 lbs. of marijuana in his vehicle. William Cole Cassidy was cuffed, placed under arrest, and booked into Polk County Jail and charged with delivery of marijuana (a felony).
