Canine Officer Leigh Helps Corrigan PD  Find Suspected Drug Money, CORRIGAN, May 9, 2013 - Corrigan Canine Officer, Leigh assisted Officer James Hight (also with Corrigan PD) in uncovering drug money.  On the evening of May 8, 2013, Officer Hight initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on US-59 in Corrigan.  The driver was pulled over for failure to maintain a single lane of traffic.  Officer Hight was assisted by Canine Officer Leigh who did a routine walk around of the vehicle.  Officer Leigh alerted Officer Hight of contraband.  By now, Officer Hight was backedd up by Officer Kendall Stewart.  Leigh's  alert was accurate as the Officers found $12,530 in paper currency.  Leigh alerted the other officers because the currency smelled of narcotics.  The money was confiscated for Corrigan PD.
