Young Corrigan Police Officer Makes Marijuana Bust, CORRIGAN, March 3, 2014 - At approximately 2 pm on February 28th, 2014, Officer Javier Segura with the Corrigan Police Department stopped a black Chevrolet S10 for speeding on Highway 287 East near Corrigan One Stop. When Officer Segura spoke to the driver, identified as Jadrian Craig Lewis, 19, of Beaumont, Segura observed that Lewis exhibited nervousness. Officer Segura was also able to smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. Officer Segura then requested an additional unit to standby by while he searched the vehicle. Officer’s Thomas Moye and Harold Rapsilver arrived on scene to assist. Segura's vehicle search proved to be fruitful as he located a backpack with pre-measured packets of marijuana. Jadrian Lewis was placed uner arrest and booked into Polk County Jail for felony possession of marijuana.
