Man Arrested for Possession After Traffic Stop, LIVINGSTON, February 25, 2011 - Shortly before 2 pm on February 24, 2011, Deputy Mike Nettles with the Polk County Sheriff's Office made a routine traffic stop of a tan 1996 Nissan Altima driven by James Brian Hartin, 30, of Livingston. Nettles stopped Hartin at FM-3126 at Sundance. Deputy Nettles suspected drugs and received consent to do a vehicle search. Deputy Nettles' suspicion was accurate as he uncovered a baggie containing a fairly generous portion of marijuana. Additionally, Nettles uncovered pills. James Brian Hartin was placed under arrest and booked into Polk County Jail for possession. A rollback wrecker from Harwood Wrecker Service towed Hartin's vehicle and it will be stored at 101 Harwood Drive in Livingston. The scene was cleared by 3 pm.
