Routine Traffic Stop, 2 Arrested for Methamphetamine, LIVINGSTON, February 9, 2012 - At 2:12 pm on February 8, 2012, Deputy Mark Dubose with the Polk County Sheriff's Office initiated a traffic stop off Sundance Trail (near FM-3126). The vehicle was driven by 46 year old Kenneth Ray Thornhill of Livingston and passenger Samantha Joe Kilough, 28, also of Livingston (Kilough had 4 misdemeanor warrants out for her arrest out of Polk County).
As Deputy Dubose spoke with Thornhill, he observed that Thornhill appeared to be nervous. Dubose asked Thornhill if he could search his person, consent was given, and Dubose uncovered a plastic baggy containing a large amount of methamphetamine.
Narcotics Detective Vance Berry was summoned to the scene. The baggy contained approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle turned up two syringes and another small bag containing methamphetamine. Thornhill and Kilough were both placed under arrest and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a first degree felony.
Special thank you: Narcotics Detective Vance Berry
