Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust, CORRIGAN, January 11, 2015 - At 6:52 pm on January 10, 2015, Officer Dakoda Hernandez with Corrigan Police Department stopped a gold colored Toyota, driven by Tiffany Nicole Rushing, 39, of Dangerville. Rushing's vehicle had expired tags. When Officer Hernandez spoke with Rushing, and her passenger, they gave conflicting stories about their travel arrangements and came off as being evasive in their answers. Hernandez observed an open bottle of beer in the vehicle, and an open bottle of liquor. Hernandez summoned his partner, Canine Officer Heston. Heston performed an air sniff around the vehicle and alerted Hernandez of the possibility of narcotics. With probable cause established, Hernandez performed a vehicle search. Heston's alert proved to be accurate as Hernandez found a plethora of marijuana and cocaine in individual packets inside the trunk of the vehicle. The cocaine was in individually wrapped packets, as was the marijuana. The weight of the cocaine totaled 14 grams. The marijuana was over a half pound (8.8 ounces). Tiffany Rushing was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (felony) and possession of marijuana.
Officer Hernandez found a large amount of marijuana and cocaine in the trunk of Rushing's vehicle.
39 year old Tiffany Nicole Rushing, of Dangerville, is facing felony drug charges.
