Predator Intoxicated Juveniles then Sexually Assaulted Them, LIVINGSTON, April 2, 2010 - Bruce Martin pled to18 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on charges of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Assault of a Child and Sexual Performance by a Child.
The charges involved three victims ranging from 13 to 16 years of age. The assaults occurred on at least two different occasions while the victims were visiting the Martin family. Martin would give the girls shots of Jim Beam whiskey or brandy while he and the girls played games such as strip poker and nude hide and seek. After getting the girls intoxicated, Martin would take the girls to the bedroom and engaged in numerous sexual acts.
The victims were able to give officers with Onalaska Police Department a description of the bedroom where the sexual acts took place. After getting a search warrant, several items of bedding were recovered from Martin’s bedroom for DNA analysis. A comparison of Martin’s DNA to the DNA of the victims and the DNA found on the bedding confirmed the allegations made by the girls.
Due to the nature of the offense, Martin will have to serve half of his sentence before he will be eligible for parole.
