District Attorney's Office Makes Generous Use of Drug Money, LIVINGSTON, November 5, 2013 - At 10 am on November 5, 2013, Polk County District Attorney, William Lee Hon represented his office well when he presented checks to worthy causes. The total amount (divided three ways evenly) was $15,000. The recipients were CASA, SAAFE House, and Childrenz Haven. The money was seized drug money. Hon addressed the small gathering at the Polk County Judicial Center in Livingston. He explained that in an economy that's down, that it's often difficult for these worthy causes to get the funding necessary in order to continue to operate.
