Hollowell Was Allegedly Running a Chop Shop, BEECH CREEK, September 17, 2018 - On Thursday, September 13, 2018, deputies responded to a residence in the Beech Creek subdivision, after suspicious activity had been reported. While walking around the property several vehicles were parked on the property and an open field. Deputies began to check the vehicles and was notified they were stolen. Detectives arrived on scene and assisted in the investigation. A total of six vehicles and two trailers were stolen from Harris County. A motorcycle and car was stolen out of Polk County. It appears James Hollowell was operating a “Chop Shop” at his residence. Several car parts were loaded on the stolen trailers awaiting shipment. After a search warrant was conducted a firearm and methamphetamine was found. Hollowell was involved in a pursuit on Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was found in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine and a firearm. Hollowell now resides in the Polk County Jail to answer for his charges. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the help from the public in obtaining any information in regards to this case.
