Mother and Son Arrested on Narcotics Charges, CORRIGAN, May 26, 2021 - On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Officers with the Corrigan Police Department assisted by Deputies from the Polk County Sheriffs and The Precinct 3 Constable’s office executed a search warrant and arrest warrant at a residence of a known drug dealer in Corrigan.
After a lengthy investigation officers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Eric Wayne Emerson, 39, of Corrigan for delivery of marijuana. Officers were also able to obtain a search warrant for his residence in the City Limits of Corrigan.
When officers arrived at the residence, Emerson met them on the front porch. The officers immediately executed their arrest warrant took Emerson into custody without incident. Officers then entered the premises and were met by a woman identified as Laurie Gay Stephens, 60, of Corrigan (Emerson’s Mother). Stephens was uncooperative with officers and kept insisting on going back into bedroom, at this point Stephens was detained.

A search of the residence yielded a variety of narcotics that included methamphetamine and marijuana. Several pipes used for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine, small scales, grinders, and several clear plastic baggies were also found in the residence.
Eric Emerson was charged with the following charges:
Delivery of Marijuana – Felony Possession of Marijuana – Misdemeanor A
Laurie Stephens was charged with the following charges:
Possession of Controlled Substance - Felony Possession of Marijuana _ Misdemeanor A
