True Blue: Constable Ray Myers is a Corrigan High School Graduate, has dedicated much of his life to CCISD, and attends all the Bulldog games as a welcome, friendly law enforcement presence.
Bulldogs Steam Roll Kountze Lions, CORRIGAN, October 20, 2018 - The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs varsity football team played host (very rude hosts) to the Kountze Lions on Friday night (10/19) in Bulldog Stadium.  From the opening kickoff, the Dogs dominated the game in every aspect (offense, defense, special teams).  The Dogs' stingy, brutal, relentless defense played huge parts in the scoring of the game.  Four of the Dogs' touchdowns came following turnovers forced by the Bulldog Defense.  Additionally, the Bulldog Defense once again held their opponent scoreless.  On offense, the Dogs were once again a picture of efficiency with a running game that's equipped with the one two punch of Terrell Cook and Ashton Jones.  Factor in that the Dogs' Quarterback, Dohn Freeman is a threat to run (and throw) and it all adds up to a long, long, night for the Kountze Lions.  If that's not enough, the Dogs have a kicker, Nelson Flores, who's the best Bulldog kicker in a very long time.

SCORING SUMMARY:

First Quarter:  7:56 Ashton Jones 44 yd td run, with pat Dogs 7/0
5:04 1 yd td run by Jaylon Hunt with pat 14/0 (setup by forced turnover)
3:16 Jones 3 yd td run with pat 21/0 (setup by forced turnover)

Second Quarter:  7:25 Jones 1 yd td run w pat 28/0
5:02 Hunt 1 yd td run w pat 34/0

Third Quarter:  11:41 (first play from scrimmage after kickoff) Jones 52 yd td run w pat 42/0
5:58 Cook 40 yd td run w pat 49/0

Fourth Quarter:  4:37 Nelson Flores 25 yd fg

FINAL SCORE:  DOGS 52, LIONS 0

Head Coach, Seven Armstrong and his staff seem to have the Dogs hitting on all cylinders, timing is precision, fueled by high octane racing fuel.  It's fun to cover the Bulldogs.  They play with a sense of purpose, and a sense of urgency.  The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs reside in a culture of winning.  How far will the Dogs go this year?  We'll see, but right now, they're a sight to behold.
