Polk County Constables Arrest Man Wanted for Child Sex Crimes, LIVINGSTON, April 12, 2022 - On Thursday, April 8, 2022, Polk County Constable Pct. 1 Scott Hughes and Polk County Constable Pct 3 Ray Myers and Deputies received information on Delbert Dewayne Harris, 67, of Livingston, who had nine outstanding warrants from the Walker County Sheriff's Office in reference to child sex crimes. A Pct. 3 Deputy made contact with Detective from Walker County Sheriff's Office who stated that they went to Harris' residence in Walker County and he had just moved to Polk County. The detective further advised Harris allegedly sexually assaulted a child in a time frame from 2012 to 2020. Deputies confirmed the information. On Friday morning Harris was arrested at his residence by Deputies from Constable Precincts 1 and 3 and Booked in Polk County Jail. Justice of the Peace Robert "Dooley" Johnson set all bonds at $50,000 each.
