Quick Response from Sheriff's Office Leads to Arrest of Prolific Burglar, SEGNO, October 27, 2009 - On October 15, 2009, the Polk County Sheriff's Office received a call for service in the Segno area located in Southeast Polk County in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation and Burglary of a Building that occurred at separate locations.
Polk County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mike Nettles responded to the calls and reported information obtained from the complainants that the items stolen during the burglaries included power tools and electronic equipment. Nettles used the information and intelligence gathered to develop a suspect in the cases.
After leaving the location of the reported burglaries, Deputy Nettles conducted a traffic stop in the Segno area on the suspect vehicle. The traffic stop lead Deputy Mike Nettles and Detective Stan Galloway to the subsequent arrest of Chester Aaron Gorsha, 31, of Goodrich. Gorsha was charged for the offenses of Burglary of a Habitation (Second Degree Felony) and Burglary of a Building (State Jail Felony). The arrest led to the recovery of all stolen property.
Chester Aaron Gorsha remains in the Polk County Jail at this time with bail set at $7,500.00 on each charge.
