Attacking the Confederate Flag is Wrong and Off the Mark... Charles Austin Miller
Attacking the Confederate flag is a diversionary tactic, attempting to blame slavery on the South, on the Confederacy, and on a fluttering banner. Barack Obama is deliberately perpetuating a lie that is nothing short of historical revisionism.
The fact is that the American flag flew over slavery for more than 65 years before the Confederacy even existed, and the Confederacy only lasted 5 years.
The Confederacy was opposed to the federal government trampling states' rights, and the Confederate flag was a symbol of that opposition. Today, liberal socialists (and their loyal black lapdogs) are revising history to blame slavery COMPLETELY on the South and on the Confederacy, and they characterize the Confederate flag as THE FLAG of SLAVERY. Which is absurd.
We see the same sort of revisionism dating back thousands of years, back to the ancient Egyptians (and even before that), when malcontents destroyed temples, defaced statues, chipped away stone inscriptions, attempting to obliterate the names and faces and the TRUTH of history.
That's what malcontent liberal socialists and their loyal black SLAVES are doing today -- attempting to erase the Confederacy from American history. Not because the Confederacy was shameful -- it wasn't -- but because the Confederacy was a reenactment of the American Revolution. That's how the Confederate rebels viewed the Civil War.
And one thing that liberal socialists want to erase more than anything is the American spirit of revolution.
The Confederate flag is a constant reminder to the federal government that the people CAN rise up, that states CAN secede from the union, and that rebels ARE more than willing to fight a corrupt American government to the death. THAT is what liberal socialists want erased from our memories.
The Confederate flag MUST be preserved and it MUST be flown, and I think it should be flown ABOVE the American flag.
