....And Here's the Steeple, LIVINGSTON, January 23, 2008 - According to Tom Kingham, Project Manager for the Central Baptist Church's new sanctuary construction, the church steeple that was erected atop the new sanctuary today, weighs in at approximately 3,000 lbs. The steeple is constructed primarily of fiberglass and light tubular metal.
The steeple, from the bottom of its base to the tip of its cross, is 55 feet high and the base is a 10 foot square. Kingham works for J.E. Kingham Construction Company out of Nacogdoches, Texas. The new sanctuary is projected to be completed around December of this year.
