CASA Fish Fry & Auction Huge Success, LIVINGSTON, September 25, 2009 - CASA (Cort Appointed Special Advocates for Children) held a fish fry and auction on September 24, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Livingston.  Thousands of dollars were raised for CASA which helps abused children.  Guests and Attendees were waited on by local celebrity waiters.  Waiters were:

Kenneth Hammack (Sheriff)
Pamela Walker (Assistant District Attorney)
Sydney Murphy (Executive Director, Polk County Chamber of Commerce)
Steve McEntyre (Justice of the Peace Precinct 4)
Darrell Longino (Justice of the Peace Precinct 1)
Ronnie Vincent (County Commissioner Precinct 2)
Lew Vail (Onalaska Mayor)
Lee Parrish (Sergeant Onalaska Police Department)
Nita Bowen (Sergeant Texas Department of Public Safety)
Linda Vincent (Onalaska School Board)
Kaycee Jones (Assistant District Attorney)

After a feast of fried catfish, cole slaw, corn on the cob and new potatoes, an auction was held with Lester Harlow serving as Auctioneer and Dr. Mike Shukan assisting.  Smiles and good will did abound as folks got their money's worth for the food and service and all money went to a great cause.
