Raymond Earl Chandler, 42, of Onalaska
Burglar Confesses to Two Burglaries, ONALASKA, November 30, 2011 - On November 28, 2011 at approximately 12:00 PM the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary in progress in the Cedar Point Subdivision. Deputies arrived on scene, however, the suspect had already left in his vehicle. A concerned citizen who called the authorities gave Deputies a description of the burglar and his vehicle and advised them the suspect was attempting to break into the residence when he confronted him. The suspect told the concerned citizen he was just trying to get in his house, then he quickly left in his green SUV.

After searching the area for a short time Deputies located the green SUV still in the Cedar Point Subdivision. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as Raymond Earl Chandler, a 42 year old white male. Chandler admitted to attempting to gain entry into the first residence.  He also told the Deputies he broke into another residence and the portable building behind the residence as well.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were contacted and arrived on scene to continue the investigation. A thorough search was conducted at the residence and the scene was cleared.

Raymond Chandler was transported to the Polk County Jail and booked in for burglary of a habitation x 2 and burglary of a building.

During the investigation it was discovered Chandler lives in the Cedar Point subdivision.

Special thank you:  Detective Darrin Crow with the Polk County Sheriff's Office
