Door Shot Out in Attempted Church Burglary, LIVINGSTON, November 22, 2009 - Pastor Bill Cook and wife Nancy arrived at the Ridin on Faith Cowboy Church located off of US-59 North on Sunday morning to find the front door of their church shot out and the remains of a failed attempted burglary. Cook and his wife lead thier congregation of the small Cowboy Church on Sunday and glass all over the floor and bullet holes in the building wasn't going to deter them from their spiritual duties. Pastor cook called the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Deputy Glen Edwards was dispatched to the scene. Edwards launched an investigation and began gathering forensic evidence immediately. Bill and Nancy stated that they'd like for their burglar to come back during church and that he (or she) would be welcome as long as he's not trying to burglarize their church. The crime remains under investigation.
Sunday morning opened up for Pastor Bill Cook and wife Nancy with an investigation from the Sheriff's Office.
The burglar(s) shot the door out and tried to use a plastic sign letter (laying in glass) to pick the lock.
