Matching Description, Suspect in String of Burglaries Arrested, LIVINGSTON, July 31, 2024 - At approximately 9:30 am on July 30, 2024 Deputy Perk Oscarwitch with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, was on patrol in Livingston when he spotted a white van that perfectly matched the description of a vehicle linked to a string of burglaries of coin operated machines in Polk and surrounding counties. Deputy Oscarwitch initiated a traffic stop on 190 West (in front of Walmart). The driver, Samuel R Serrano Navarrete, 44, of Freeport, was questioned and arrested for no driver's license is currently a leading suspect in the burglaries. Oscarwitch was assisted by other deputies and by Officers with the Livingston Police Department. The burglaries remain under investigation.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office place cuffs on Samuel R Serrano Navarrete, 44, of Freeport. Navarrete is a primary suspect in a string of coin operated machine burglaries in Polk and surrounding counties.
