The Bulldog defensive line spent the greater part of the evening camping in the Lion backfield.
Bulldogs Annihilate Dublin Lions in a Runaway, BUFFALO, November 23, 2015 - The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs met the Dublin Lions in Buffalo on Friday night in the second round of the Texas High School Playoffs.  The Dogs made quick work of their opponents in a game that they completely dominated from start to finish.  This was another game that shows that the Dogs seem to be peaking at the right time of the year.  Head Coach, Seven Armstrong and his staff have managed to assemble a team in a year when they had lost many of the top players from last year (seniors who graduated) and endured mid season turbulance when they lost two of their best players.  Armstrong's Dogs are winning and appear to believe in themselves.

FINAL SCORE:  DOGS 78, LIONS 35

Yes, the Lions scored 35 points, but the only reason is that towards the end of the second quarter, the Dogs were pounding the Lions so bad (Lions had 0) that Armstrong opted to pull his starters and put in his Junior Varsity players for the remainder of the game.  The Dogs' defense continues to be impressive (especially the defensive line).  Sophomore Quarterback, Ty Love, continues to mature and is leading his offense nicely with running backs LaKendrick Moore, Fre'Darion Johnson, and Jaylon Williams.  The Dogs are run oriented and will pass from time to time.  As the Dogs go deeper into the playoffs, they will inevitably meet a team that will stuff the run.  More passing will be necessary in order to open up the run.  With impressive victories in their last two games (Trinity and Dublin), the Dogs' confidence is high.  That's a good thing since next week they'll be going up against Crockett who beat the Dogs decisively in the regular season.

I'm certainly no expert, but that's my humble observation.  As always, the Willster knocked it out of the park with this week's highlight reel.  Enjoy!
