The Bulldogs are spoiling their fans. Some fans appear bored and lazy about winning.

Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs Crush Hemphill Hornets, HEMPHILL, November 2, 2013 - The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs traveled to Hemphill on Friday night (November 1) and faced the Hemphill Hornets.  As with every opponent that the Dogs have faced this year, the Dogs took care of business and disposed of the Hornets and made it look easy.  The usual suspects of Haden Armstrong, Carlos Inguanzo, Keegan Mitchell, Malyk Johnson, the entire defense and full supporting cast were in full business mode.  Run, throw, catch, kick, wrap up and tackle, and all the basic fundamentals were on display.  As with any day at the office, no day is ever entirely perfect.  After all, there are forces working against you, but the Bulldogs have a good manager (head coach Seven Armstrong) to oversee the operations.  His field manager, quarterback Haden Armstrong guides operations on the field.

Scoring Summary

First quarter: 3:26 - Malyk Johnson caps off a drive with a 4 yard td run (set up when the defense forced a fumble and the dogs recovered).  Dogs kicked PAT, Dogs 7 - Hornets 0

Second quarter:  2:10 - Hornets run in quarterback keeper from 5 yards out.  Missed PAT, Dogs 7 - Hornets 6
00:16 - Quarterback Haden Armstrong throws 10 yard td pass to Keegan Mitchell.  Haden runs in 2 point conversion.  Dogs 15 - Hornets 6

Third quarter:  Mitchell returns second half opening kickoff all the way.  Dogs missed PAT.  Dogs 21 - Hornets 6
5:00 - Mitchell takes handoff from Armstrong from 5 yards out runs in for td.  Missed PAT.  Dogs 27 - Hornets 6
4:04 - Malyk Johnson takes handoff from Armstrong and runs over half the Hornet defense enroute to a 9 yard TD run.  Armstrong runs in 2 point coversion on a qb keeper.  Dogs 35 - Hornets 6
00:23 - Johnson takes handoff from Armstrong and runs for a 70 yard td.  Armstrong converts 2 points on QB keeper.  Dogs 43 - Hornets 6

Fourth quarter:  10:44 Mitchell takes pitch out from Armstrong and runs in 30 yard td.  Johnson runs in 2 point conversion.  Dogs 51 - Hornets 6
8:28 Johnson takes handoff from Armstrong runs 80 yards for td.  Missed PAT.  Dogs 57 - Hornets 6
4:31 Hornets run in touchdown.  Makes 2 point coversion. Dogs 57 - Hornets 14 Final

Commentary
After reading that impressive scoring summary by the Bulldogs, it's easy to forget about the defense being a brick wall that the Hornets just couldn't run or pass against.  The Hornets did manage to score two touchdowns.  They also recovered an onside kick in the closing 2 minutes of the game.  These gaffs, while they didn't have an impact on the game, didn't set well with Coach Armstrong.  After the game with his team gathered around him, Armstrong reminded the Bulldogs of their mistakes.  He wasn't nice about it either.  The Dogs listened, they saddled up and headed for the showers, and then home.  Just another day at the office (Business as usual).
