Newton Trounces Bulldogs, NEWTON, October 26, 2015 - The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs went into to Newton on Friday night and were soundly thrashed by a Newton team that beat the Bulldogs in every facet of the game: Offense, Defense, Special Teams. I don't know what it is about the Newton Eagles, but they're always good and they seem to have the Bulldogs' number. Taking into consideration that the Bulldogs seem to be having an off year (not their usual where they destroy everybody but Newton), then the setting was ripe for a Newton rout. There's no doubt in my mind that the Bulldogs show up to play, and they try their best, but, Newton right now, is just better. So much better that the Dogs never even scored a point, while the Eagles rolled up 41 points (and I have no doubt, they could've scored more). It's very similar to Dayton and Livingston. For some reason, Dayton always beats Livingston. It's (at this time) just the way it is.
The Dogs' next opponent is Deweyville in Corrigan (in Corrigan thank God) on October 30th at 7:30 pm. Should be a great game and the Dogs should be able to win it.
